Group 4 Technology (G4Tec) Conducts Global Sales Summit

Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire, May 7, 2007 – Group 4 Technology (G4Tec) held its first annual Global Sales Summit April 17-19, 2007. Approximately 50 sales and marketing staff from G4Tec’s offices in the United States, Panama, Denmark, France, and the UK were represented.

The meetings kicked off with a tour of the new G4Tec headquarter campus located in Tewkesbury followed by a barbecue for all staff. Guests were then bussed to beautiful Billingsley Manor for two days of intense sales training and team building.

“G4Tec is constantly striving to employ the best people, and providing an opportunity for our local and international staff to network and socialize has been invaluable to our company,” said G4Tec Managing Director, Keith Whitelock. “New relationships were forged this week that will only strengthen the organization.”

Many of the employees at G4Tec’s headquarters in Tewkesbury come from the talent pool in Tewkesbury, Evesham, Cheltenham and the surrounding area where about 240 people are employed. International offices located around the world employ an additional 100 people.

In autumn 2004, G4Tec relocated into their brand new facilities. Two buildings house UK, European and Middle East sales, marketing, customer support, technical research and development, IT, manufacturing, human resources and accounting.

G4Tec is a 2001 winner of the Queen’s Award. The Queen's Awards for Enterprise are the UK's most prestigious awards for business performance. G4Tec was awarded Microsoft Gold Partner Status for 2006. G4Tec is one of the few security equipment developers in the industry to get its products tested and certified by Microsoft.

G4Tec recently won Security Management Today’s Best Integrated Security Solution award for an innovated system supplied to the Department for Work and Pensions at over 500 locations throughout the UK. The system enhanced security across the estate portfolio whilst at the same time provided a year on year cost saving by the reduction in a manned security presence.

G4Tec has supplied over 20,000 Electronic Access Control Systems to more than 50 Countries and is proud to secure locations such as GCHQ, Coventry University, UK Passport Service, Barclaycard and Pentagon building in the US, to name a few.
