Symmetry™ v6.1 released

Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire, 20 November 2008 – Group 4 Technology is pleased to announce the launch of Symmetry™ v6.1 security management software, which includes a range new features and additional integration options.

The features list for v6.1 now includes enhancements to Symmetry video, graphics, maps and intercom integration, all of which add to the flexibility of the Symmetry Security Management System (SMS) by allowing options to tailor the desktop and the solution itself to the individual end users requirements. For example, icons on the visual map can now be changed to illustrate which product or system is in place at each location.

The new software, which has backwards compatibility with current installations, now supports new hardware, including the EN-1DBC single door controller (with built in Power over Ethernet), RAK3 enclosure and M2150 range of controllers, making the Group 4 Technology solution even more adaptable for the needs of the customer. There are also more options with regards to integration with third party camera manufacturers, including the Axis MPEG-4 range, the current market leading IP camera brand.

From the release of Symmetry v6.1 Windows Vista Business and Ultimate editions are supported.
