Group 4 Technology (G4Tec) Upgrades Symmetry Security Management System and Symmetry Video

2007 – Group 4 Technology (G4Tec) will be exhibiting at The Building Services Event 10-11
October 2007 in London, Olympia. G4Tec will be showing its newly upgraded Symmetry
Security Management System with Symmetry Video at Stand A51. Several new features
make Symmetry a better choice for companies needing a complete security management
system.
G4Tec’s Symmetry Security Management System combines all of the requirements needed
for building security including access control, video management, alarm management,
identity management, visitor management, and command and control into a single deeply
integrated security management system for any size organization.

Access Control
Creating credentials is now easier than ever with the new Symmetry Identity Management
module. The Identity menu makes it easy to navigate, design and produce access cards.
Users save time by creating cards faster.
Integrate all company wide systems with Symmetry to analyze data and create efficient
processes and policies within a company. Symmetry’s Data Connect module allows users
to create detailed reports from all systems, whether it is a human resource, CCTV,
cashless payment, or burglar alarm system, to best manage a complete security system.
Symmetry’s new Command Center displays the status of all devices in a tree display.
Users can operate the system right from the tree view. Enhanced permissions can
restrict devices and options available to individual users that you define.
Symmetry Video
Event-based recording ensures all events are recorded on the Symmetry Video Management
software and Symmetry Edge Network Video Server (ENVS®) system. Symmetry Video’s
enhanced event recording feature allows users to record video just seconds before
and after an event to provide a more accurate account of events.
Security operators can view every camera on their system using multiple camera views
on the video matrix. Now Symmetry Video offers a second video matrix, allowing operators
to view up to 72 camera images.
Security guards can take advantage of Symmetry Video’s Identity Check improved feature:
- Guards can compare a live ID badge photo with a stored ID photo to see if the person
using the card is the same person stored in the computer. This provides an interactive
tool to ensure the safety of the premises.
- Guards can control doors and provide manual restrictions when necessary to manage
security issues on an individual basis.
- Guards can manually search for a card holder and his transaction log when a person
does not have their card.
The Symmetry Edge Network Video Server (ENVS®) is now packaged in a rack mount option.
The rack mount optimises precious rack space, while providing easy installation
and connectivity to network and video communications.
Hardware
Symmetry’s new enclosure provides the highest ratio of readers per square foot.
The enclosure is available with an eight reader M2150 8DBC installed, however, an
additional eight reader M2150 8DBC intelligent controller can be added to provide
a full 16 reader capability.
